How tight can you keep it?
Well keeping your turns tight in the traffic pattern or anywhere else for that matter isn’t really the best idea (especially when flying IFR). Occasionally we do get ourselves into scenarios where we are banking a little more than we should, and it’s important to keep these skills sharp (more so to know how to get out of a steep bank rather than how to get into it). I often cover steep turns in VFR conditions, and under the hood with students when conducting their IPC. Practicing a few times in visual conditions can help you get the feel back for performing this maneuver if it has been a while since you have practiced it on your own.
